PUERTO CALERO ART GALERY

This Art Gallery, housed in one of the most modern marinas in the world aspires to create a nexus between artist and visitor.

Guided by a firm belief in art, culture, people, sport, nature and life itself, Puerto Calero wishes to further the artistic impulse conceived in Lanzarote in the seventies by César Manrique by both endorsing the artistic importance of the island and aiding its diffusion.

As such, this marina will participate in the island’s cultural character; one that not only represents package-holiday tourism but also embraces the wider aspects of tourism such as sport, the enjoyment of the island’s natural heritage and cultural visits.

Following the way in which Lanzarote has served as muse and hostess to a variety of artists, the company Puerto Calero S.A seeks to create a space to promote their work, feelings and philosophies to the international audience which comprises visitors to the marina.

Essentially the Puerto Calero Art Gallery was born to serve as an important link between the artist and the public, from a window to the ocean, where one can admire and acquire works of art whilst supporting and promoting the development of artistic expression on this island.
